23.5 cm x 16.5 cm, publisher's original green cloth, pp. xx. 409; illustrated, and pp. iv, 360; illustrated. Both volumes illustrated in colour and b&w, with many renderings of apple varieties. Corners a bit bumped, minor bubbling of cloth to rear cover of volume one, 2 cm scratch in the cloth of the rear cover of volume two, a few tiny spots to covers, else a near fine, bright set, and uncommon thus. Heavy set of books, will likely require the purchaser to pay for extra postage.

Approximately 8 1/4" x 5 1/4", publisher's dark brown cloth, pp. 293, +  - 298 testimonials. Includes chapters the agriculture of Kentucky, the cultivation of tobacco, hemp and corn, and breeding horses for agricultural purposes, etc. Moderate foxing throughout, corner of front free endpaper and one page corner torn away [no loss of text], dampstain with pronounced bubbling of cloth affecting bottom inch of front board, a small amount of dampstaining elsewhere on front board, small chip out of lower front gutter, else cloth covers are clean and bright, with the binding tight. Scarce.
